"My children can hardly wait for it to be Sunday. They love coming to Church School (and the good things to eat at the coffee time helps too)."

Nursery and Toddler Care

Infants through age three can be in worship with parents, or parents are welcome to utilize our childcare. The nursery is located on the lower level of our education building, Heicher Hall. Our nursery attendant is an adult childcare provider with training in the care of children of this age group.

Children's Time

Each Sunday, worship includes a time especially for children. They help light the Peace Candle, give their offerings, and listen to a special homily just for them. Then it is off to Sunday school for lots of individual attention.

Sunday School

Sunday School

We offer a PreK/Kindergarten class and an Elementary class. These two classes meet in rooms on the lower level of our education building. Our program provides a mix of singing, arts, crafts or drama, and Bible study. Our teachers are flexible about providing activities that are age appropriate to the children present on any Sunday morning. Children are not told what to think or pressed to give answers beyond their comfort level. The focus is on making Jesus' teachings and the stories from the Bible available in a gentle, yet meaningful atmosphere. Parents are welcome to accompany their children or to join in the closing moments of class, after worship.

Older Students

Our middle school Seekers group steps out for guided discussion with an adult leader after the anthem is sung.  Our Minister of Education works with high school students individually to meet their needs. In the past, students have joined the choir; participated in a breakout discussion group after the sermon; assisted in the nursery or given other volunteer service; or planned and participated in special events. Older students are welcome participants throughout the life of the church.
